I’m so excited to share that I’ve now passed my Level 3 Active IQ qualification in Designing Exercise Programmes for Older Adults! 🎉
As we age, staying active isn’t just important – it’s essential for maintaining strength, balance, mobility, and overall health. This qualification means I now have an even deeper understanding of how to design safe, effective, and engaging fitness programmes that support older adults in staying independent, confident, and strong.
Why Is This Important?
As we get older, we naturally lose muscle strength and flexibility – but the right exercise programme can slow this process and even reverse some effects.
Movement plays a huge role in reducing the risk of falls, improving bone density, and boosting mental well-being.
Fitness should be fun and adaptable, no matter your age or ability!
What’s Next?
With this new qualification, I’m excited for more sessions designed specifically for older adults, ensuring everyone has the chance to move, feel strong, and stay active in a way that suits them. Whether it’s gentle strength training, balance work, or low-impact movement, there’s something for everyone!
If you or someone you know would love to stay active, build confidence, and be part of a supportive and fun fitness community, keep an eye out for new sessions coming soon!
Because movement is for life – and it’s never too late to start. 💙
